BTRS Visits Nayatel - 16th June, 2007

16th June, 2007 - A 7 member delegation of Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) headed by its chairman Maj. Gen (Retd) Manzurul Alam visited Nayatel to discuss issues of mutual interest in regards to scope, potential and adaptability of Next Generation Networks and latest technologies, in context to Bangladesh Telecommunication sector. The delegation showed its keen interest to gain an enhanced understanding on Fiber-to-the-User (FTTU) network infrastructure, and adaptability of converged Triple Play services in meeting 21st century customer needs. The delegation was briefed by Wahaj us Siraj (CEO Nayatel) regarding Fiber optic deployment and BPON network infrastructure in Islamabad, which makes Nayatel first ever FTTU Triple play service provider in South Asian. BTRC delegation was on official visit to Pakistan to discuss potential cooperation issues with Pakistan Telecommunication authority (PTA) to deregulate Bangladesh Telecommunication sector, by considering massive growth in Pakistan’s Telecom sector as benchmark.
